The park has the only remaining boating pond in the town which is also home to a number of ducks and a pair of mating swans.

There are number of play areas for children of all areas - this includes a fenced area for small children and two areas for football and other ball games.  One of these areas has been equiped with fixed nets and basket ball hoops.  A teen shelter, picnic tables and recycled benches have also installed.

The park has a network of all weather paths leadiing to a circular track for walking cycling and jogging.

There is also a tennis court which is now used on a regular basis by the local Petanque group during the summer months
