A very active model boat club meets each Wednesday and Sunday afternoons at the boat house in the park. New members are always welcome.

Each morning a group of people can be found exercising their dogs.  This is a great way of socialising for both dogs and their owners.

There are a number of planted areas in the park and these are managed and maintained by the gardening club which meets each Thursday afternoon.  Volunteers are welcome all that;s required is that you bring your own trowel!  This group often works with the local school children who assist with planting.
